It’s time to introduce yourself to Mr Burger

If you’re a true burger connoisseur, you should already be familiar with Mr Burger. Whether you’ve had the pleasure of wrapping your mitts around one of its cheesy American-style burgers in Melbourne, or are just an avid follower of its drool-worthy Instagram account, we’ve got some news that is sure to make you excited in your stretchy pants. Mr Burger is coming to Brisbane. Not as a pop-up, not just for a special event. When the truck rolls in this Friday August 26, Mr Burger will be here to stay. Cue the hallelujah chorus.

For those that aren’t familiar with Mr Burger, let us give you a quick run down. Mr Burger is the brainchild of Myles Munro and Daragh Kan who, after eating their way through the food trucks and burger joints of America, decided to bring the deliciousness home to Melbourne. Since October 2012, Mr Burger has been satisfying the cravings of burger lovers in Melbourne and Tasmania via a number of trucks and bricks-and-mortar stores, and now the time has finally come for Brisbane to get a Mr Burger to call its own. And you should be excited. We don’t want to speak too soon, but it has been voted Melbourne’s best burger on numerous occasions.

While heading north has been on Mr Burger’s cards for quite some time, it was Brisbane City Council’s new food-truck initiative that made it happen (cheers BCC!). The truck will make its debut appearance at Green Beacon Brewing Co. this Friday August 26, and will be dishing out free burgers from 6:00–8:00 pm. This is not a drill guys. Free. Burgers. And now the moment you’ve been salivating for – the menu. Mr Burger will serve all of its Melbourne classics, including its take on the perfect American-style burger (think beef, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, mustard, mayo and tomato sauce) and the Mr Hot with beef, cheese, bacon, crispy onion rings, chilli mayo and jalapenos. You’ll also find its famous Trucker Chips – they’re loaded with three kinds of American cheese, crispy diced bacon and secret-recipe Trucker sauce. Oof.

Mr Burger will trade from Thursday to Sunday each week and will be popping up at a number of locations including Kangaroo Point and Orleigh Park, as well as events in both Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Mr Burger is never one to shy away from a promotion (you may recall the burger tram), so look out for more fun as well as where it will be popping up on its social media pages.
