Manly’s Shucks Bar kicks off its second Supper Club series, MAKR
Some of the best makers in the food and beverage industry – the bakers, preservers, growers, winemakers and brewers who toil hard behind the scenes – will be sharing their wisdom in a series of monthly long-table dinners in Manly.
Shucks Bar is saluting Brisbane’s finest culinary artists with the MAKR Supper Club, where gourmands can gather to hear more about the processes and challenges behind their favourite products. This fascinating series of long-table dinners will shine the spotlight on a new baker, preserver, grower, winemaker or brewer each month, kicking off with avid preserver Sam Pethely, co-owner and chef of Felix For Goodness and Florence, and continuing with Erin and Michael Lutz of La Bouche patisserie, Yuri Zineko of Calyx Wine and more to be announced.
The Shucks Supper Club launched last year, with each dining event focused on a different cooking method or ingredient. This year the intimate gathering will see food makers put under the microscope as they sit down with guests to share their knowledge and a five-course set menu prepared by chef Michelle Pickworth.
