Lutèce Bistro & Wine Bar opens in Bardon

New French restaurant Lutèce Bistro & Wine Bar will fling open its doors in Bardon on Friday July 12, just in time for Bastille Day this weekend.

As wine bottles are being uncorked and souffle ramekins prepared in kitchens across Brisbane ahead of Bastille Day on Sunday July 14, new French restaurant Lutèce Bistro & Wine Bar will be inviting its first customers to the table. The refurbished 80-seat restaurant sits high above the Bardon bushland and boasts yawning windows that offer sweepings views of Mount Coot-tha and beyond.

Renowned chef Romain Bapst of Il Centro and Drift fame has drawn on his Strasbourgeois heritage and passion for French cuisine to craft a menu studded with standouts. Hearty dishes like spanner crab lasagne, braised beef baeckeoffe and 24-hour stuffed oxtail feature on the dinner menu, while bar offerings of grilled sourdough and oysters with caviar cream complement the extensive wine list. Sunday breakfast-goers can feast on charcuterie plates, croque monsieur and freshly baked croissants courtesy of the bistro’s French pastry chef.

Lutèce Bistro & Wine Bar is taking bookings for lunch and dinner over the Bastille Day weekend, and will offer a limited-edition celebration menu featuring the likes of Alsatian tart flammekuche.
