London Xpress Cafe opens in Woolloongabba

When you’re on the go in Woolloongabba, a long lunch at one of the more affluent restaurants isn’t exactly a time-conscious option. But if a quick bite with a British twist sounds like your cup of tea, head over to the newly nestled London Xpress Cafe in the umbrella-lamp-lined antique precinct on Logan Road.

With owner Satty hailing from Yorkshire and Jay from Liverpool, opening a little slice of their home country in Brisbane has been twirling through their minds for a while. So when the Woolloongabba space opened up, they couldn’t think of a better spot to build their dream cafe.

Serving simple fare of muffins, sandwiches, a mean plate of wedges and an all-day breakfast, there’s even London-inspired fish and chips, served traditional style with mushy peas. The cafe is decked out in British paraphernalia with prints of London lining the walls, while the entrance imitates that iconic red telephone box. With an array of teas and organic juices, stop in for a mid-morning hunger quencher or afternoon pick-me-up.
