Lock’n’Load Bistro unveils its new winter menu
The West End institution is heating up some winter warmers that will add some comfort while dining out this chilly season.
Lock’n’Load Bistro has been a staple destination along West End’s Boundary Street precinct. With live music, craft beer and friendly service, the venue has remained a popular spot to while away an afternoon or an evening. One of the biggest draws of heading to Lock’n’Load is the plentiful menu which boasts generous servings of fine food. A cut above your typical pub-style meal, Lock’n’Load uses fresh produce to create great fare. As the weather gets colder, head chef Philip Dudley has created a winter menu with some great ingredients that are at their seasonal peak.
Winter warmers include delicious and hearty meals such as grilled Cone Bay barramundi, served with saffron risotto, sweet potato crisps and lemon butter and twice-cooked pork belly, with roast apples and pears, cabbage slaw & chilli caramel. Be sure to ask the staff which beer compliments your meal best and you have a match made in heaven. If that doesn’t get your stomach rumbling with hunger, you can rest assured that Lock’n’Load has plenty of other meals lined up to take the chill out of your bones this winter.
