Little Valley announces its permanent closure

In some sad news for Brisbane’s dining scene, the team behind Fortitude Valley restaurant and bar Little Valley has revealed that the venue will not be reopening following its COVID-19-enforced closure earlier in the year.

In a statement released to the media on Wednesday October 28, representatives from Little Valley disclosed that the venue’s stakeholders have made the difficult decision to permanently close the restaurant’s doors in light of ongoing COVID-19 restrictions. They cited that the Warner Street venue’s model, which incorporates a large bar and two function spaces alongside its dining room, is not suitable to trade commercially in the current COVID-19-impacted operating environment without ongoing assistance. Little Valley was awarded one hat in the Good Food Awards in 2019 and was the winner of Brisbane’s Best New Restaurant in 2019’s EAT/drink Awards.

Whilst Little Valley will be sorely missed by Brisbane foodies, it’s not all doom and gloom – the team is planning to open two new venues in South Brisbane’s Fish Lane. Keep an eye on The Weekend Edition for full details very soon.
