Our beloved pets are referred to as furbabies for a reason – although they might not be our actual offspring, we sure treat them as such. If you, like us, love spoiling your pooch with only the best of the best, we’ve just caught wind of the ulti-mutt treat for your furry friend – Krispy Kreme’s brand-new Doggie Doughnuts.

To celebrate International Dog Day (no, they aren’t over), the sweet-slinging gods at Krispy Kreme have launched a limited-edition range of Doggie Doughnuts, so you can finally share the joy of decadent doughnut treats with your four-legged mate. To concoct these canine-friendly creations, Krispy Kreme has partnered with Huds & Toke, a Queensland-based small business that specialises in pet treats.

Each Doggie Doughnut is inspired by an iconic Krispy Kreme flavour, with six to choose from including Original Glazed, Choc Cookie, Choc Sprinkles, Choc Iced, Strawberry Sprinkles and Choc Cheesecake. Worried parents need not fret, as these doggie doughnuts (which are more like hard biscuits than actual doughnuts) contain not chocolate but carob, a dog-friendly alternative to the sweet stuff. From today, Tuesday August 10 to Thursday August 26, these pup-approved goodies are available to order as a six pack for $14.95 via next-day click and collect to your closest Krispy Kreme Store. Score a box for your pampered pet at the Krispy Kreme website.
