Indulge in guilt-free desserts after dark with Kiss the Berry’s new Up Late menu

Choosing between indulging in dessert and maintaining a summer bod is a constant mind battle. Like, sure we all try and keep active, but it’s easy to undo all of that hard work with a one gluttonous dessert that more often than not involves a doughnut and/or lashings of ice-cream (and possibly vanilla cream). Well, friends, gluttony doesn’t have to be the devil. Ever-popular acai joint Kiss the Berry now transforms into a dessert hang by night, launching its new Up Late menu full of sweet treats that are completely guilt free. Yep, you’ll never (ever) have to question dessert again.

The new Up Late dessert menu and extended trading hours have been introduced to Kiss the Berry’s Burleigh Heads and Southbank venues, meaning you can now head in for a late-night treat until 9:00 pm from Thursday through to Sunday (Burleigh) and Friday to Sunday (Southbank). We all know that Kiss the Berry do killer acai bows and smoothies, so we were pretty delighted to hear that the sweet goodness would now be available after dark in the form of a totally indulgent dessert menu. So, what’s in store? Well, you can keep it simple with an Acaiwhip soft serve in a vegan cone drizzled with natural sauces, or pimp it up with the loaded Acaiwhip cups, served brimming with toppings like fruit, cacao nibs, coconut flakes, buckinis, plus chocolate, caramel and berry sauces.

If you’re partial to an ice-cream sambo, then you’re in luck. You’ll find vanilla coconut ice-cream and Acaiwhip sandwiched between coconut or cacao cookies, jazzed up with sweet things like raw chocolate and strawberry compote. The talented Kiss the Berry folk have also created delicious acai pops from its Acaiwhip soft serve, which are covered in raw chocolate before being sprinkled with a selection of sweet (yet healthy) toppings. The goodness doesn’t stop there – healthy waffles have made their way onto the menu, topped with ice-cream or Acaiwhip and fancy fruits like figs, pomegranate, caramelised banana and choc-dipped strawberries. The Choc Mousse Jar is a dreamy addition, topped with with pistachios, chocolate buckinis and chocolate strawberries. Let’s just say that the elusive balance between dessert and that summer bod has been found.
