Moreish macadamias a specialty at Kalinga Farms
The verdant grounds of Kalinga Farms in Blackbutt are one of the best destinations for premium Australian native macadamias. With a variety of flavours and products, those nutty about nuts will think they are in heaven.
Coming into season now, macadamia nuts are native to Australia and are easily one of the most popular snack foods in the entire country. Fortunately for those of us in the Sunshine State, some of the best macadamias are grown in Southern Queensland Country and one of the best producers of the munch-worthy nut in the region is Kalinga Farms. Located north of Toowoomba, Kalinga Farms is responsible for growing, packaging and delivering a variety of flavoured nuts, pastes and oils across Queensland.
The signature range of macadamias available from Kalinga Farms include flavours such as smoked hickory, rosemary and sea salt, wasabi, and sour cream and onion – health nuts can also purchase gourmet toasted muesli with fruit, grains and macadamias. Over the coming months, Kalinga Farms will also make a range of macadamia pastes created from roasted kernels, that are great when applied to ice-cream and bakery products. If you find yourself with a hankering for a handful of macadamias, you can catch Kalinga Farms at the Eat Street Markets on April 17 and 18.
