Stock up on handmade treats from Jen’s Handmade Cookies

There is nothing quiet like bringing out a biscuit tin bursting with handmade treats to present to an unexpected visitor. Even if the treats were not made by your hand, the moment can still be aglow with handmade goodness.

Introducing Jenny Freeman from Jen’s Handmade Cookies who, long with her husband Mike, started making cookies out of a kitchen in 1991 with the objective to share their much-loved family recipes with the wider community. Starting at the markets, the business soon expanded to wholesale and with a loyal following of cookie devotees, Jenny and Mike soon upgraded to a commercial kitchen and then another due to further growth.

With an enticing range of cookies, cakes, loaves and puddings, Jenny takes a selection to the markets each week including her Anzac cookies, mini jam tarts, shortbreads, apple strudels and berry pies, as well as her famous gluten-free cheese and chilli dippers and gluten-free melting moments. Stop by and pick up a selection of Jen’s cookies and baked treats at the Jan Powers Farmers Markets at Mitchelton, Manly, Queen Street or Powerhouse and imagine the glowing faces when you present your handmade treats to friends and family.
