Jake and Elle have had a permanent weekend home at Eat Street Markets for the last few years with their Vietnamese-fusion street-food stall Chitty Banh Banh and Little Italy food outlets. Never content, the dynamic duo has created a new food project to dive into with Jake and Elle’s Kitchen. The pair have kept their eyes on food trends and have purposefully changed their business model and food offering each year to meet changing food cravings. This time around it’s all about the overindulgence of American and Italian food. Jake and Elle don’t see the market food of today being a dainty affair, instead it’s all about over-the-top and oversized – and this is what Jake and Elle’s Kitchen is offering.

The siblings certainly aren’t doing things in half measures. Check out mouth-watering menu items such as the Return of the Mac Burger – a three-cheese macaroni transformed into waffle burger buns filled with slow-cooked beef brisket, maple bacon, red cheddar cheese and Jake’s signature smoky date sauce. On the Italian side there is The Gambino Special, an Italian herb-crumbed chicken breast, napoli sauce and mozzarella served with spaghetti and more napoli sauce, topped with freshly grated Grana Padano cheese and parsley. For dessert try the Ice-cream Cannoli, a sweet crispy pastry shell filled with exclusive Mister Fitz ice-cream. Each weekend the ice-cream flavours change, and this weekend’s flavour is red velvet ice-cream topped with milk chocolate.
