Boutique cellar InCider Trading opens in Fortitude Valley

All those deliciously crisp and cool craft ciders you’ve been enjoying on tap or in a bottle at dedicated bars about town can now be consumed from the comfort of your couch. InCider Trading is a boutique wine and cider cellar that’s just opened its doors along bustling Wickham Street in Fortitude Valley.

Tucked amongst the Asian grocers and oriental offerings, InCider Trading operates as both a specialty bottleshop and a bar. Run by the director of Queensland Cellars, Tim Fanning, along with Daniel Pierce, this new chamber of fruitful liquor presents an array of wines and ciders from smaller producers from Australia, New Zealand and Europe.

Specialty Champagnes sit alongside sparkling wines, while hand-picked rare wines fill the private cellar. There’s also a selection of organic and biodynamic wines, while mead and brandy push the grape flavour further. Inside this drinking den is a back courtyard, framed by exposed brick, with dappled light filtering through the open roof. A nice spot to sit and sample tastings of specialty wines and ciders, the courtyard also acts as a function space.

The onsite coffee machine pulling Giancarlo beans helps you perk up between tasting flights, while a food menu will eventuate shortly. Joining the retail selection quite soon is also an array of locally produced foodstuffs like grass-fed beef, organic cheese, olive oil, fresh pasta, high-quality breads and small goods.
