Tuck in to Honey Espresso wholesome treats

A crunchy piece of toast with honey sneaking over the edges and a warm cup of coffee to awaken the senses – the simplest ingredients can make a morning glorious.

Borrowing from these two nature-derived ingredients to form its name, Honey Espresso focuses on organic coffee and sweet treats. The new venture is the creation of Renee Melides and Stephanie De Luca, with Honey Espresso operating a pop-up cart dubbed Park Bites down by the river near Kurilpa Bridge from Monday January 13. Championing baking notions of the gluten-free, vegan and (refined) sugar-free varietals, Honey Espresso bakes delicious sweet nosh like flourless chocolate and avocado brownies and apple, banana and date logs. The cart’s orange and date bliss balls are lush and moist, rolled in a light coconut coating – perfect with an afternoon cup of tea or as a post-dinner treat.

Order your morning brew of choice, knowing it’s made with fairtrade, organic, locally roasted beans, or opt for an icy cold-press instead. Renee and Stephanie also bake to order, delivering their addictive treats straight to your door. You’ll also find the creative pair down at the new Boundary Street Markets on weekends when the market starts up again next month.
