Say g’day to some delicious burgers from Hello Harry at Portside

Hamilton’s dining and entertainment precinct is heralding the arrival of a new burger joint on Friday May 13, bringing some of the tastiest handfuls to Brisbane after conquering tastebuds on the Sunshine Coast.

Tony Kelly knows what’s what when it comes to good eating. As one of the masterminds behind Maroochydoore’s Junk and the popular Donut Boyz franchise, Tony has created a burgeoning empire based on keeping us all well fed. The third feather in Tony’s cap is Hello Harry, a burger restaurant that has been operating on Ocean Street on the Sunshine Coast since 2014. Hello Harry is expanding south to Brisbane, with franchises popping up in Caloundra, Forest Lake and now at Hamilton’s Portside district. The premise of Hello Harry is simple – good burgers, made with good ingredients by proper chefs, promptly. Hello Harry at Portside is a vibrant, family friendly eatery with welcoming staff and space for more than 100 patrons, offering dine in and takeaway options. The space has been updated with eye-catching street art by Matt Clancy (also known as CRIES ONE) and fitted out with sturdy furniture from rising manufacturer Pallet Dzine.

Hello Harry’s menu offers eight burgers plus a rotating special from week to week. Each burger is laid on brioche buns baked daily from a centralised kitchen in Bowen Hills, and features ingredients that complement each other taste wise. Beef burgers, pulled pork burgers and grilled chicken varieties are available, as are other salivation-worthy options like Queensland barramundi and Texan barbecue brisket. Sides include beer battered chips coated in a special seasoning of chilli salt, refried onions and garlic salt, and come in a ‘loaded’ variety – topped with cheese, green onions and bacon. The bar is amply stocked with beverages for all tastes. Two beer taps pour cold beer and cider from Montieths, while bottled beer varieties, wines and a concise selection of spirits are available. Look for more Hello Harry locations to open in the near future. If you are after a burger joint that offers tasty bites, with a great price point on a consistent basis, consider planning a visit to Portside in the near future.
