This new coffee-lovers haven has been carved out of a space next to Detour in the iconic Logan Road dining precinct, outfitted with a modern style that creates a refined aesthetic a rung above your typical cafe fit out. The venue marks a new phase for Grinders, which is combining an educational component and a shift towards some specialty offerings across its major hubs. Under the guidance of Australia’s head of cafe operations Andy Easthope and head barista Alex Borg, Grinders Coffee is quickly positioning itself a the place to go for a comprehensive coffee experience, whether you are a die-hard fanatic or casual caffeine appreciator.
The smartly appointed cafe and retail space is the first port-of-call for anyone looking for a comprehensive coffee experience. The Grinders Coffee team aims to curate the experience for patrons, giving visitors the chance to learn more about the process and the intricacies of each single origin and blend while they sip on fine pours. Automated Marco SP9 brewers are utilised to dish out by-the-cup portions of coffee, with the machines dialled to produce brews precisely every time. Espresso based coffee is available for lovers of lattes and cravers of cappuccinos, and hand-poured V60 is also on offer. A concise food offering of pastries and some light savoury options is also available for those fancying a nibble. Next door, the training and education centre offers barista courses for professional development, as well as consumer-oriented courses and monthly cupping events.
