Grilling Art opens in Stafford Heights
If you’ve ever found yourself armed with a skillet, hotplate and raging hunger, you’ll understand that grilling is indeed an art. So too is pacing yourself when staring down a hearty repast from this new Stafford Heights locale.
As Rode Road snakes from one suburb to the next, the rises and dips underfoot usher you past parks, homes and highway. But now there’s a new local in town, with Grilling Art restaurant, cafe and soon-to-be bar opening up in Stafford Heights. Open from 7:30 am to late seven days a week, the kitchen specialises in dishes straight off the char-grill – and we’d suggest packing your bib.
Fuel up on the signature big breakfast – which makes a darn good team out of bacon, eggs, pork sausages, grilled tomatoes, a hash brown, Portobello mushroom and toasted garlic bread – and kickstart the heart with a cup of Bellissimo Coffee. Salads, kids options and an assembly of burgers and wraps are available from 11:00 am to close, with gluten-free buns and patties available alongside a host of optional extras. The Tokyo Art burger sees a chargrilled beef patty, chicken breast or salmon fillet topped with homemade teriyaki sauce, caramelised onion, fresh lettuce and house aioli, while The Art of Ribs wrap stars ten-hour slow-roasted pulled pork, alongside salad, onion relish and cheese. Of course, dinner brings out the big guns, with the restaurant’s signature slow-cooked baby back ribs flame-grilled and basted in the house smoky barbecue sauce.
The venue is currently BYO wine, with a liquor licence on the way.
