Greenstreat first started working its magic on NSW bellies back in 2018, when brothers Jesse and Jackson McGrath opened the health-focused express cafe in their hometown of Albury. The community response was overwhelming, with locals lapping up the simple, nourishing fare. Fast forward a couple of years and the boys have now opened a second location, this time choosing a 27-sqm space on Adelaide Street as their first Brisbane offering. A 2.5-metre wall of salad ingredients serves as a visual reminder you can indeed make friends with salad, and the live prep station offers full transparency as customers watch their bowls of goodness coming to life.

Ingredients are sourced locally where possible, with farmers and growers hailing from the Sunshine Coast to the Darling Downs. The menu changes with the seasons and includes vegetarian, vegan, meat-eater, dairy-free and gluten-free options. Try the kale Caesar burrito packed with chopped cos lettuce, shredded kale, rocket, streat chicken, cherry tomatoes, parmesan crisps and cheese, a free-range boiled egg, lime wedge, cracked pepper, Caesar’s ranch dressing plus crispy bacon, or the taco bowl brimming with warm brown rice, chopped cos lettuce, slow-cooked plant-based chilli, smashed avo, corn salsa, cheddar cheese, sour cream, red onion and tortilla chips plus a jalapeno lime vinaigrette. Eleven specialty sauces are all made in-house and customers can also build their own bowls or burritos. Greenstreat is open Monday to Friday for dine-in or takeaway, with potential to open for delivery-only dinner in the future. A second Brisbane location is also expected to open next year.
