Gourmet food ‘trucks’ roll in to Regional Flavours

If you’re having a tough time choosing which dishes are worthy of precious belly space at Regional Flavours this month, you’ll be pleased to know you can stretch your tastebuds further with sample plates courtesy of South Bank’s gourmet food trucks.

The restaurants that line Little Stanley Street will be giving Regional Flavours guests the opportunity to enjoy a small taste of their menus on Saturday July 20 and Sunday July 21. Inspired by the US food truck movement (and Brisbane’s own blossoming efforts), the eateries will set up under 12 small tents, creating the illusion of a fleet of food vans.

Twelve cafes and restaurants from the South Bank dining strip will offer selected menu items at a small price, meaning you can grab a takeaway snack while exploring the producers and providores on display at the foodie event. Nibble on paella from Olé, pulled pork buns from The Point Bistro or hazelnut confit salmon from champ kitchen & bar, before washing it down with a cup of Tlicious tea.

The Stumble Guide is our comprehensive Brisbane dining guide with more than 2400 places to eat, drink, shop and play.
