Indulge in a worldly feast this November with Global Flavours

While leaders are gathering from across the world for the G20 Leaders’ Summit, it’s time to gather your favourite band of friends to feast on Global Flavours.

From November 1–30, Brisbane City’s restaurants will be offering up a veritable smorgasbord of international culinary delights with Global Flavours. In conjunction with the G20 Leaders’ Summit, Global Flavours will see Brisbane chefs take inspiration from a number of international cuisines to craft special menus, while using fresh locally sourced ingredients.

Eagle Street’s Black Bird Bar & Grill will be serving up lunchtime delights, with Moreton Bay bug, gem lettuce, light bisque aioli and jamon bacon on a soft bun, paired with a locally brewed craft beer; while Madame Wu is offering a lunch banquet of duck buns, pork belly, pork dumplings, chicken ribs, rice-crusted wagyu, wok greens and rice. A number of venues will also be offering a prix fixe lunch menu, including Malt Dining, Esquire, Restaurant Two and Alchemy. Come late afternoon, the world’s first NEXT Hotel will be hosting a Poolteno party at its rooftop terrace bar each Friday, with a South American-themed barbecue, canapes and cocktails. And when dinnertime pangs strike, head to Pony for an array of share plates, Red Hook for New York street food, or The Survey Co. for the whole duck of the day.

Your global dining can be paired with a feast for your ears, with musicians, artists and bands from Jazz Queensland performing free live sets throughout the month. Get your dose at a number of venues throughout the city, including Moda, Public, Saké Restaurant and Bar and Mr & Mrs G Riverbar. For the full list, head to the Visit Brisbane website.
