No dairy, no worries with Gelatissimo’s new creamy vegan gelato
For too long, our dairy-free friends have had to settle for sorbet. Although tasty and refreshing, it’s not the same as tucking into a sizeable scoop of frozen happiness. Well, hold onto your hats ice-cream loving vegan pals, because Gelatissimo has unveiled two deliciously decadent (and creamy!) flavours of plant-based ice-cream.
Proving that you can improve on perfection, Gelatissimo has created two vegan-friendly flavours that boast a consistency reminiscent of the real deal (sans the dairy, obviously). The bold new flavours – caramel mudcake and triple chocolate – have been formulated with a combination of coconut and soy milk to deliver a deliciously rich and creamy plant-based gelato. Keen for more mouthwatering deets? The caramel mudcake contains vegan caramel gelato flavoured with caramelised sugar and is loaded with actual chunks of golden-brown mudcake – in short, it’s the perfect combination of sweet, smooth and chewy. As for the triple chocolate, well, unsurprisingly it involves a lot of vegan chocolate. Made using premium West African cocoa, the creation is sprinkled with vegan dark-chocolate morsels and drizzled with a rich chocolate sauce. It’s then dusted with cocoa powder, because what’s a little more chocolate between friends? Delicious, that’s what.
The two new flavours are the first taste of Gelatissimo’s inclusive new offering to ensure that anyone and everyone can enjoy a scoop or three. The plant-based gelato sits pretty alongside the venue’s sorbet range which includes green apple, lemon, mango, passionfruit, raspberry, strawberry, sunkissed coconut and the 96-percent sugar-free chocolate and 98-percent sugar-free strawberry options. Keep an eye out as we have a feeling this is the first taste of (delicious) things to come. Keen to give it a try? Head to Gelatissimo in Brisbane City, Bulimba and Chermside.
