A renewed, dapper Foxy Bean reopens in Woolloongabba

Creators of a very sexy cup of joe, Woolloongabba favourite Foxy Bean reopened this week, planting a very wide smile on locals’ faces. Acquiring the two additional buildings next door, the owners got out the hammers and knocked holes through the walls until they were happy with the cavernous space that’s now home to Foxy Bean cafe by day and (soon to be) The Foxy Drop by night.

Everyday from 6:00 am for breakfast, you can try the Toasted Banana, Pumpkin and Walnut Bread with vanilla mascarpone and stewed rhubarb or the Bushman’s Benny – a savoury mince meets Eggs Benedict amalgamation. For the meantime, lunch is also available seven days a week, but this will be scaled back to Monday to Friday, once they open the tapas and wine bar sitting on Thursday to Sunday evenings.

Revamped into a dapper few rooms with the feel of an underground poker game locale, stealth fox murals line some of the walls, while a taxidermy version keeps watch over the bar. With recycled timber paneling, lush leather couches and bar stools, and an outdoor courtyard filled with greenery and astroturf flooring, the Foxy Bean folk have created a magic world to escape to for a neat latte or crisp glass of wine and slice of creamy cheese.
