Enjoy a pre-show dinner with Festival Flavours
Combine your love of the arts and fine cuisine with Brisbane Festival’s exciting culinary experience Festival Flavours this September.
A bunch of partner restaurants and bars all over town have created a unique Festival Flavours dish to reflect the vibrancy of Brisbane Festival’s talent-packed program. Anytime from September 7–28, patrons can indulge in one of these succulent dishes and accompanying beverage for $30.
Igniting dinner ideas that might not automatically come to mind, Festival Flavours reminds theatre-goers that it is entirely possible to take your dinner overlooking the river at the impressive Customs House or tucked away inside The Hilton at Vintaged Bar + Grill. We can vouch for the incredibly sumptuous barramundi dish being served at Customs House, accompanied by fennel and potato puree, crispy artichokes, lemon crumble and sauce verde, and paired with a glass of Vinaceous Shakré Chardonnay.
Enjoyed in the relaxed ambience of the Lock’n’Load Bistro courtyard, the cheeky wellington involves pale ale-braised beef cheeks with chanterelle mushrooms, broccoli puree, roasted celeriac and horseradish jus paired with a Little Creatures Pale Ale.
The pan-seared New Zealand snapper at Iceworks Restaurant, fat pho at Fat Noodle and charcuterie board at Aquitaine Brasserie are also sure to draw a crowd pre-show. Check out the full line-up of participating bars and restaurants (and their inventive dishes) here.
