Explore the world of American craft beer at Yard Bird Ale House

From fresh Vietnamese spring rolls to spicy Mexican burritos, traversing the world of global cooking is an exciting adventure for intrepid foodies, but good honest American fare has traditionally been one of the most elusive cuisines to discover in Brisbane.

Putting an American twist on a craft beer bar, Yard Bird Ale House features an all-American menu of chicken wings, Chilli-Cheese Fries, pizzas and burgers, as well as list of craft beers from the nation that has been pioneering a spirited independent craft beer scene for many years. Acknowledging its local ties, Yard Bird also has a selection of Australian craft beer and cider.

The chef collected all of the authentic chicken wing recipes during his trips to the USA and the Death Sentence Wings have proved so popular that locale now hosts regular Death Sentence Wing Challenges. The challenge: to eatas many of the spicy wings as you can in 12 minutes.

For vegetarians, there’s golden fries smothered in cheese, deep-fried mozzarella sticks and burgers with black bean patties.

Take a moment to look up from the feast before you and you’ll notice the stack of beer kegs, tattoo-inspired artwork and old brewing barrels that all add to Yard Bird’s pomp-free character.
