Turn your garden into a year-round food source with the help of Edible Landscapes Nursery

Your garden can be lush, green and filled with masses of beautiful blooms, but you can also eat your garden too. Foraging for food in your own garden is rewarding and can provide the culinary savvy with a rich bounty to choose from.

For inspiration with your homegrown food, pay a visit to Edible Landscapes Nursery at Northey Street City Farm. Edible Landscapes Nursery is our city’s organic and permaculture nursery specialising in medicinal herbs, vegetable seedlings, water plants, edible water plants, fruit trees, bush tucker, natives, permaculture plants and butterfly plants, as well as organic potting mix, fertilisers, lucerne and hay bales.

All Edible Landscapes Nursery’s seedlings and plants are grown from open-pollinated seeds from organic sources and the potting mix is also organic and produced at the Northey Street City Farm Green Waste Recycling Centre.

A separate kitchen garden is one option, but a fully integrated edible garden is something to really set your sights on. When you next visit the Sunday Northey Street City Farm Organic Markets, explore the lush grounds of the Edible Landscapes Nursery and be inspired to create your own productive garden.

The Stumble Guide is our comprehensive Brisbane dining guide with more than 2400 places to eat, drink, shop and play.
