Nominations are now open for The Weekend Edition’s 11th annual EAT/drink Awards, proudly supported by Bundaberg Ginger Beer.

The Brisbane food scene has come a long way in 11 years, and so have our EAT/drink awards. The awards launched with our beloved map magazine in 2007 as Brisbane’s first entirely reader-voted food awards. Following map’s retirement in 2014, The Weekend Edition has continued to grow the awards and celebrate the best places in Brisbane to eat and drink.

The past year has been a big one for food and drink venues, and it’s time to recognise the unheard of, the institutions, the rising stars, the midnight pitstops and the unbeatable. The Weekend Edition’s EAT/drink Awards delve into Brisbane’s culinary culture to determine locals’ favourite places to eat and play, and now is your chance to make sure your favourite foodie destination is in the running for this year’s awards. Be it the lazy corner cafe, award-winning restaurant, latest bar or food truck, there’s a place to eat and drink for everyone in Brisbane.

This year we are bringing back our special bonus category – Best Food Porn. This category is voted exclusively on Instagram – take a snap of a drool-worthy dish, post it to Instagram, include the venue name in the comments, tag @_weekendedition and #TWEFoodPorn.

To make voting easier this year, only the top 20 nominated places will be included in the voting form for each category. Make sure you nominate all of your favourite venues here or via the button below before 11:59 pm on Monday February 19 so they have a shot for the title! Voting commences Friday February 23.
