Dessert dynasty Doughnut Time and Mister Fitz arrives in East Brisbane

One half smushes heavenly ice-cream between moreish cookies, the other combines all manner of decadent ingredients into doughnut form. The titanic tandem of Doughnut Time and Mister Fitz has expanded to Brisbane’s inner-east, with a brightly lit location on Lytton Road.

Damian Griffiths has firmly established himself as dessert king of Brisbane thanks to his super-popular Doughnut Time empire, and added another jewel in his crown after bringing ice-cream sandwiches to the masses with Mister Fitz’s Finest Ice Cream. It makes a lot of sense that the two facets of the fancy fiefdom should operate in tandem, so much so that a new joint location has just opened on the corner of Lytton Road and Latrobe Street in East Brisbane. Neighbouring Sushi Kotobuki in revitalised space that once housed a Subway, Doughnut Time and Mister Fitz boast side-by-side stores with vibrant neon signage acting as a beacon for souls searching for sweet sustenance.

This opening marks the 22nd Doughnut Time store in Australia and the third for Mister Fitz, following on from the formula honed at Damian Griffiths’ South Bank dessert precinct. Those unfamiliar with goods on hand at Doughnut Time (have you been living under a rock?) can expect to get their mitts on some delicious handmade doughnuts, indulgent milkshakes and hot chocolates. Over at Mister Fitz, one can dip a spoon into a range of gourmet ice-cream, ice-cream sandwiches with freshly baked cookies and milkshakes. Both locations are trading until 11:00 pm, which means late-night dessert cravings are catered for from here on out.
