Dio Salva combines cyclery and cafe in Spring Hill

Spring Hill strollers searching for a good cup of joe need look no further than sweet new cyclery and cafe, Dio Salva.

Perched among the takeaway joints and office buildings of Boundary Street, Dio Salva is a quaint inner-city oasis boasting quality coffee and a unique concept. Potted greenery hangs from pallet furniture as a bike wall beckons with custom clothing and stylish bike frames. Merging Dio Salva Cycles and Dio Salva Bruhouse, the hardworking little venue offers guests a place to pause while also supporting the thriving bike culture of Brisbane.

Pop in for a robust Madman blend with sweet caramel notes sourced from Barefoot Barista in Palm Beach and team it with Maleny Dairies milk or almond, oat, rice or soy varieties at no extra cost for those averse to lactose. The cafe also makes its own coldpress coffee, which will be the perfect bottled pick-me-up on sultry summer days. Tea drinkers will love a refreshing iced tea or cup of English breakfast, earl grey, peppermint, green, chamomile or chai, while hot chocolate, cool drinks and Thankyou Water round out the liquid offerings. The breakfast menu offers a bunch of classics, including fruit muesli with Greek or vanilla yoghurt, and rye sourdough topped with poached eggs and tomato relish or smashed avocado, balsamic drizzle, lemon pepper, crushed fetta and a squeeze of lemon juice. The lunch menu will evolve every week or two, with the current list featuring lamb shepherds pie and sweet potato mash, Moroccan chicken sausage rolls, and a divine salad of mozzarella, rocket, blood orange, mint, olive oil and parmesan, plus a sweet treat of pear and cinnamon loaf with honey ricotta.

Dio Salva began its life as a pop-up coffee bar and will continue to operate at events and festivals around the region. The creative chaps behind the cafe have also developed their own range of cycling-inspired clothing and accessories – check them out online or in-store. Keep watch on the Facebook page as the lads carry out plans to develop their own bike frames in the future. For Dio Salva Bruhouse contact information and trading hours, check out our Stumble Guide.
