Dello Mano opens for indulgent evening choctails

From full-body Snuggies to novelty socks, winter is the season for guilty pleasures. No one understands this more than Deb, Bien and the team at Dello Mano, who are brewing and bubbling your favourite vices together to create some wicked winter potions.

Resistance is futile in the face of chocolate. A square is delightful, a block is heavenly and a cup of the good stuff is the quickest way to reach nirvana. Imagine, then, a concoction of Dello Mano’s signature hot chocolate spiced with black raspberry Chambord, or a forkful of rich dark chocolate tart speckled with slivers of pecan. Shed the reveller’s remorse and partake in a delicious chocolate indulgence at Dello Mano’s new After Dark evenings every Friday and Saturday night until 10:00 pm.

Residing on a street corner on the cusp of Teneriffe and Newstead, this vine-covered haven is now licensed and the perfect spot for a cosy winter warmer. Ornate wrought-iron chairs are warmed by the glow of the dessert cabinet, which whispers of Bien and Deborah Peralta’s decadent brownie creations like pistachio and rosewater, espresso walnut and peanut butter. The revolving choctail menu features delicious martinis dressed three different ways – with white chocolate, a shot of espresso or a secret Dello Mano twist. Alternatively, merrymakers can enjoy a glass of wine or a bottle of Little Creatures or White Rabbit ale. Sweet tooths can put the cafe’s new range of winter desserts to the test with a plate of white chocolate panna cotta or gooey chocolate pudding.
