Deery’s Pop-Up arrives in Kangaroo Point
Brisbane’s first pop-up-in-a-pub has shot up in Kangaroo Point, tucked under The Story Bridge on Rotherham Street.
It was a bottle shop just a few months ago, but if you glide on past The Story Bridge Hotel, you’ll now discover a new pop-up restaurant serving sumptuous steaks and top-notch ales. Open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, Deery’s Pop-Up Restaurant promises a blackboard menu of daily specials as well as some classic steak and seafood favourites. Tempt your tastebuds with dishes like dukka-crumbed camembert with melba toast and Cumberland sauce, freshly shucked natural oysters and 100-day grain-fed Warwick Angus eye fillet.
The original Deery’s Restaurant is undergoing an extensive refurbishment, with two levels being converted into a single-storey contemporary bistro and an adjoining courtyard bar. The renovated restaurant is expected to re-open in October.
