Stop and sip the rosés at Customs House’s Spring Rosé Garden pop-up

As we fling ourselves headlong into spring it’s important to remember to stop and smell the roses, or if the occasion calls for it, stop and sip the rosé. From Friday September 6 Customs House is welcoming the new season with a pop-up that will transform its terrace into a blossom-drenched Whispering Angel Rosé Garden. Read on to find out more …

Soak up a spring breeze alongside river views in European-imported domes of dreamy, drapey, flowy fabric bedecked with greenery and bursting with vibrant blooms. It’s the perfect setting for an afternoon catch up with the besties or a sophisticated Sunday sesh, paired with a glass of Château d’Esclans Whispering Angel Rosé, straight from Provence, or a Moët & Chandon Imperial Rosé.

The drinks menu features a selection of Australian, New Zealand, and French wines alongside a picking of pink-hued cocktails like the Provence Cooler – a refreshing sip featuring Belvedere Pure, Whispering Angel Rosé, lemon, blackberry, and basil. Sate your appetite on Customs House’s carefully curated menu of nibbles including Moreton Bay bug croissants, French Oscietra caviar with blini, freshly shucked oysters with gin and tonic granita, and a serious spread of French, Italian, and Australian cheeses sure to make fromage fanciers say “oui oui ooh la la!”

This year Customs House is expanding its offering to include a luxurious French-style rosé high tea. On Tuesday and Wednesdays you can sit down to a selection of savoury canapes, freshly baked scones and an array of pink petit fours, whilst sipping on a glass of Whispering Angel or steaming French tea.

This high-tea experience can be booked for parties of two to six for $100 per person. The Whispering Angel Rosé Garden is open from Tuesdays to Sundays. Walk-ins are welcome but individual domes can be exclusively booked. Learn more at the Customs House website
