It’s not often that Lithuania springs to mind when considering the coffee capitals of the world. But Crooked Nose & Coffee Stories is growing the Baltic State’s reputation as a nation of coffee artisans. Founded in 2011 and based in downtown Vilnius, Crooked Nose roasts seven different coffee blends – or ‘stories’. It also concocts its own hand-bottled cold brew, which is steeped for 14 hours and double filtered to create a soft-textured dark concentrate. The team also runs Sunday’s Coffee Club – where punters are introduced various blends of coffee and stories of growing, selecting, roasting and blending beans – and a coffee conference called Dark Times.
