Cove Bar & Dining hosts pop-up oyster bar
A pop-up oyster bar hosted by River Quay’s Cove Bar & Dining is bringing platters of the delicacy to Brisbane Festival-goers this weekend. Set in the Santos GLNG Lounge, Cove’s pop-up oyster bar will have plentiful plates of freshly shucked Coffin Bay oysters straight from the South Australian waters ready to satisfy palates.
A rumoured aphrodisiac, the oysters gracing plates in the Santos GLNG Lounge can be accompanied by the Brisbane Festival signature cocktail The Kitsch, also crafted by Cove Bar & Dining. A combination of 42 Below Vodka and fruity flavours, The Kitsch is the perfect liquid companion to sea-fresh oysters.
Located in front of South Bank’s Cultural Forecourt, the Santos GLNG Lounge offers lavish views of the Santos GLNG City of Lights. With Cove’s pop-up oyster bar operating every Saturday and Sunday until September 22, pull up a post with a sweeping view of the river from 5:00 pm, soak up the ecstatic Brisbane Festival atmosphere and enjoy the 12-minute light and laser show throughout the night.
