Help a charity by feasting on wholesome market food from Cook for a Cause

Imagine knowing that while you are biting into some tasty market food, you are also helping a good cause. Whether it be horses at an equestrian centre, breast cancer survivors or sufferers of Parkinson’s disease, Cook for a Cause is committed to good food while supporting the community.

Craig Nivison from Cook for a Cause has many goals – to be an inspirational role model for his children and community, supporting local businesses and charities, cooking wholesome and tasty food, and engaging with his customers. The business model he has developed with Cook for a Cause allows him to tick all those boxes and more. Cook for a Cause chooses a different charity each month and at the end of the month that charity is presented with a pre-determined percentage of the profits. Charities like Breast Cancer Network Australia, Calisto Park Equestrian Centre and Parkinson’s Queensland are just some of those to benefit for Craig’s cooking entrepreneurship.

The menu is simple homestyle food that satisfies with items such as rib fillet steak burgers, corn on the cob, Thai chicken soup, gourmet breakfast omelettes, bacon and egg burgers, steak sandwiches and Mexican hot chocolates drawing the market and event crowds. Cook for a Cause has a regular market stall at The College Markets at Capalaba as well as various sporting events and festivals around Brisbane.
