Cook & Co. fires up the grills on Queen Street

The Fortitude Valley end of Queen Street has just welcomed Cook & Co. – pleasing hungry tummies for breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between.

Cook & Co. spans over a large industrial-style space, featuring copper and timber finishes, exposed-brick feature walls and sleek black tiling. The eatery encompasses an array of different dining spaces, allowing for more casual dining on high tables near the bar, and long communal tables and intimate seating nearer to the kitchen. In the morning, in addition to its a la carte menu, Cook & Co. also sets up an expansive continental breakfast spread on weekdays, and a full hot-breakfast buffet on weekends.

The menu draws from a variety of international cuisines, showcasing locally sourced produce. The grill is the feature at Cook & Co., with a wide selection of steaks, spatchcock, prawns and fish accompanied by sides such as garden peas, lemon, fetta and mint, old-school mac and cheese, and kohlrabi slaw. The ‘pots and pans’ dishes are served – you guessed it – in pots and pans, including a Spanish seafood broth with chorizo and citrus, and Southern-style beef short rib. At the bar you can unwind with a boutique wine or craft beer while nibbling at morsels from a tasting board, sharing a pizza or tucking in to a burger, taco or Reuben sandwich.
