Confit Bistro welcomes the taste of spring
While spring is the transitional season between winter and summer, in Queensland it tends to be something of a whirlwind. Nonetheless, spring is the perfect time for a menu shake-up and to showcase the new season’s produce.
Welcoming the season’s change with an entirely new menu is Confit Bistro. The spring edition of the European bistro’s menu is filled with delights and flavours collected from a range of European countries that are renowned for their gastronomic contributions. Confit combines these global flavours with a range of fresh local produce and ingredients that have emerged with the new season. Think delicate entrees of Chicken Liver Parfait, or indulge in a Buffalo Steak Tartare with Cornichons, Capers and Quail Egg.
For your main meal, you can peruse the flavours of lively Barcelona with the Spanish Spiced Spatchcock with Panzanella Salad and Basil Pistou. Or you could enjoy a twist on a classic pork dish with a delicious Confit of Kingaroy Pork Belly, Maple-seared Scallops and Nashi Pear Chutney.
As no meal is complete without a little dessert, you’d best save room to try some of Confit’s traditional sweets, like the creme brulee, souffle or cheese plate. Chocoholics will feel a little more at home with the option of the Chocolate Tasting Plate. This dish sounds like it came straight from the mind of Willy Wonka, with a combination of Walnut and Raisin Brownie, Milk Chocolate Fairy Floss, Dark Chocolate Mousse, Double Chocolate Souffle, Cinnamon Panna Cotta, Dark Chocolate Sauce and berries.
