Self-serve mochi ice-cream and scoop-and-weigh dog treats await at the newly opened Coles Local in Ascot
While our friends in New South Wales and Victoria have been blessed with Coles Local stores for some time now, we have been waiting with bated breath for our turn. Our patience has finally been rewarded, as earlier this week Ascot welcomed its own Coles Local store. Here’s all of the gourmet goodness you can expect to find inside this new-look grocer …
Sometimes we just want to live our best bougie lives and the arrival of the first Queensland Coles Local in Ascot is helping us to do just that. This swanky supermarket offers customers a highly tailored selection of gourmet local produce from some of Brisbane’s most cherished local suppliers, growers, bakers, producers and cafes. You can bag mouth-watering gourmet cakes and pastries from beloved patisserie Jocelyn’s Provisions, a selection of meaty morsels from Meat at Billy’s, and a range of freshly made artisan sourdough breads and fluffy brioche burger buns courtesy of King Street Bakery. The store also boasts a Japanese mochi ice-cream bar (!!!), self-serve coffee courtesy of DC coffee roasters, and an orange juicing station where you can squeeze your own OJ. Furry friends don’t miss out on the action either, with the store offering frozen pet food ice-cream and a Scoop & Weigh treat bar just for dogs.
It’s not just its grocery offering that sees Coles Local Ascot stand out from the crowd. Sustainability is at front of mind at the newly opened store with free recycled customer carry boxes, a dedicated eco-friendly product section, energy-efficient fridges and trolley baskets made from recycled materials – even the team member uniforms are made from 65 percent recycled bottles! This is the future, friends, and we’re just living in it.
Coles Local Ascot is located at the corner of Ascot Plaza Racecourse Road and Dobson Street in Ascot and is open 7:00 am to 9:00 pm Monday to Saturday, and 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on Sunday.
