Merge your love of java and ale with Brisbane’s first coffee cherry beer

What do you get if you combine the smooth taste of coffee and the robust flavour of expertly-brewed beer? A taste sensation that you’ll want to enjoy time and time again.

Not satisfied with the range or quality of existing coffee/beer combinations, three local beverage creators, Moonshine Coffee, Croft Brewing, and Beard & Brau, took the plunge to develop their own unique, first-to-market coffee cherry and beer fusion. Aptly named “Straight off the Tree”, this is first commercial coffee beer to capture the fresh, intrinsic goodness of the organic coffee fruit and raw bean, and, quite frankly, is an altogether new prospect in the coffee beer game.

Rather than using concentrated or pre-brewed coffee (like other products on the market), “Straight off the Tree” is crafted from beans and fruit that have been hand-picked from a 70-acre coffee plantation in the hinterland of Byron Bay. The beverage is then expertly brewed in the foothills of Mount Tamborine. The result? A game-changing coffee beer characterised by the subtle, earthy aroma of raisin and pineapple, with a light, clean palate up front, underscored by a distinctive and refreshing bitterness. The perfect tipple for an Aussie summer.
