With Christmas Day falling early in the week this year, we can use the weekend to source the freshest of salad and fruit ingredients, meat, seafood and treats for Christmas lunch from the local farmers markets. This Saturday the Village Market is on at Kelvin Grove from 6:00 am to 1:00 pm, while West Enders can head along to their usual Davies Park Markets from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm. Jan Power’s Farmers Market is at Brisbane Powerhouse on Saturday from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm, with a special Christmas Mitchelton market also running on Sunday December 23 from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm. The Bardon Community Market is also on this Sunday 6:00 am to 1:00 pm, as is the Northey Street Organic Farmers Market from 6:00–10:30 am in Windsor.
