Escape kitchen duty on Christmas Day
Wrapping paper is torn with eager haste, Christmas carols ring through the house, there’s a constant stream of food and drink and lazy afternoons set the scene for a blissful siesta. Christmas Day truly is a moment of relaxation at the end of a busy year. For those who fancy letting someone else tend to kitchen duties this year, we’ve compiled a list of restaurants offering festive spreads this Christmas.
The Euro: The Euro is putting a tasty twist on traditional Christmas fare this year with a menu featuring dishes such as Pork Belly with Smoked Chilli and 18-hour Slow-cooked Gippsland Lamb Shoulder with lemon and fennel glaze.
Sake Restaurant & Bar: Stepping even further away from tradition, Sake will be serving Japanese delights for Christmas lunch. Dine from the a la carte menu, or go all out and order a banquet feast.
Stamford Plaza: Keeping its buffet fully stocked with traditional Christmas favourites from Christmas Eve through to dinnertime on Christmas Day, Stamford Plaza will provide a bountiful spread for Christmas feasts.
Summit Restaurant: Perched atop Mount Coot-tha, Summit Restaurant is a whimsical setting to dine on Christmas Day. Enjoy Christmas favourites as you gaze at sun-soaked views of Brisbane.
1889 Enoteca: For early celebrations taking place on December 23, 1889 Enoteca has a five-course meal planned. Start with antipasti, then savour pasta, roasted kingfish and polenta, before finishing with pastry cake topped with caramel and cream.
Belvedere Bar n Grill: Classics including turkey, pork, baked snapper and Christmas pudding and Christmas petit fours all appear on Belvedere’s classic Christmas lunch menu.
Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa: The hotel has ordered 30 legs of ham, 40 turkeys and 5,000 oysters for its Christmas lunch to ensure visitors can indulge in true festive style.
