Gulp the Christmas spirit at Beerkary Bakery

We leave whisky and cookies out for Santa, while The Scratch leaves craft brews and beer-matched pastries out for us. Sounds like a fair Christmas swap.

The Scratch’s famous Beerkary Bakery is back again – and this time it’s bringing a side serving of Christmas cheer. After a sold-out debut in October, the pop-up concept bakery will return to the Milton watering hole with a festive combination of consumables this Sunday December 15.

Chef Ben Devlin has designed a delicious menu of baked goods matched to some of the bar’s specialty Christmas ales, which are sure to get you humming your favourite carols in a merry old state. Sample pairings like a spiced pork jowl and red cabbage sandwich with Norwegian spiced ale, or a slice of Sri Lankan Christmas cake with a malty Deschutes Jubeale. The offerings will be available from 10:00 am until sold out, so make like it’s Christmas morning and hotfoot it to The Scratch this Sunday.
