Anastasia is originally from Bardon, so it seemed natural to get back to her suburban roots there, with Chocolate Orange Espresso situated along Stuartholme Road. Bringing their love of good coffee, good food and a friendly, community vibe to the Bardon area, Anastasia and Naomi are serving top-notch Two Seasons coffee, a smorgasbord of delicious, homemade sweets and a healthy and wholesome breakfast and lunch menu. Making everything on-site, Chocolate Orange Espresso sees freshly baked treats line the counter, including a Persian Cake, Cacao Ball, Choc Caramel Peanut Slice and Choc Hazelnut Brownie, which are all gluten free.

The cafe’s specialty is a Protein Smoothie of coconut cream, banana, avocado, egg, greens and honey, while the secret Potato Salad recipe features on its own and inside a baked ham sandwich with mango relish. A brown and orange colour scheme pairs retro-inspired furniture with a counterfront that has been crafted from recycled schoolyard wood and menu boards made from old windows.

Taking the notion of a tip jar to the next level, Chocolate Orange Espresso pools its tips throughout the year, matching whatever amount is donated and then puts the funds towards buying stationery and backpacks for Grade 1 children starting at schools who need some extra support.
