Sink your teeth into a succulent burger from Charboys
Tucked away down a side alley in West End, two mates have set up a small burger joint that pumps out some of the best burgers in Brisbane.
The Boundary Street Markets in West End has long been a hotbed of emerging food businesses, with a plethora of new tastes and aromas on offer every weekend. One of the more popular vendors to pop up has now set up a semi-permanent shop at the market, cooking up a range of mouth-watering burgers. Charboys is the brainchild of friends Dom and Shrav, who have opened up their own burger business in addition to completing their law degrees. Both of the boys are fans of grilled food, initially experimenting with skewers before making the jump to burgers. The duo have combined grilling techniques with their burger making, offering a mix of classic and unique flavours to West End lunch hunters, bringing along their trusty barbecue for good luck (and some cheeky specialty grilling).
The menu features four lunch burger varieties and one breakfast option available on Sunday mornings. Charboys make a mean cheeseburger, with a succulent patty laid down on a brioche bun and layered with cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion and the Charboys special sauce. Those looking to mix it up can bite down on a tandoori chicken burger with American cheddar and chilli-lime coriander sauce, while vegetarians can sink their teeth into a lentil burger. Extra menu items include tandoori chicken fries and skewers. All meat is sourced from The Rock and Roll Butchers in Greenslopes, and only the best angus beef mince is used in the patties. Dom and Shrav have plans to expand the business into a burger powerhouse, but for now are happy bringing the heat to Boundary Street every weekend. Check out the Stumble Guide for opening hours.
