Sip, slurp, chew and chomp your way through the mammoth Night Noodle Markets offering

Fortune favours the bold, my friends. We understand that culinary risks don’t always pay off (mostly when you’re trying to get creative in the kitchen with that mystery condiment you bought months ago), which is why it’s best left to the experts. Running as part of Brisbane’s Good Food Month, the beloved Night Noodle Markets are returning to South Bank from Wednesday July 19 to serve up the sights, sounds and smells of an Asian hawker market – with a few twists and surprises thrown in for good measure. more

Foodie wonderland Eat Street Northshore opens to the public this weekend

Brisbane’s favourite boulevard for bountiful eats – otherwise known as Eat Street – has undergone a huge transition, taking it from its market roots in Hamilton to a high-end location at Northshore. After a few weeks of silence, we can confirm that Eat Street Northshore will open to the public this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, showing off its new digs, which boast a host of permanent food vendors, a new moonlight cinema, diverse alleyway precincts, several new bars and a giant tanker sitting in the middle of it all. more

If you’ve made the most of your New Year’s Eve this year, there’s a good chance you aren’t going to be up and about much on New Year’s Day. If your New Year’s resolution is to seize the day, rest assured that there are plenty of spots around town open for your carpe diem dining. Start the year right with a meal that you’ll still be remembering 12 months from now. more

The round-up: what’s open in Brisbane on Boxing Day

We buy our presents, we stock up on ham ... and we completely forget that almost everything is closed the day after. If Boxing Day sales aren't your thing, we've rounded up a few places that are opening on Saturday December 26 for your eating and drinking pleasure. more
