When director Keith Rivers stumbled upon a craigslist advertisement announcing the sale of more than 2,000 pairs of salt-and-pepper shakers, he dug a little deeper and discovered that the 4,000 beloved relics belonged to a family who had been collecting shakers for generations. Keith tracked down the family’s grainy old Super 8mm videos to weave a beautiful narrative that might have you looking at your shakers a little differently over dinner tonight.
