So, here’s the deal. The Uber Eats #lockdownlove offer runs from Monday August 31 to Friday September 4, allowing people from anywhere outside of Victoria to have their choice of dessert or ice-cream from a local business – to the value of $20 – delivered to a friend in Melbourne, all for free. The offer runs nightly from 8:00 pm, but you’ll need to be quick as these sweet surprises are capped at 1000 orders each night. All you need to do is enter the address of your Melbourne mate as the delivery location in the Uber Eats app, which will bring up restaurants and sweets spots near them – then, have a search for the dessert options and select the treat you think your southern pal will love. Feed the Frontline allows everyday people to send a meal to a frontline worker from a participating restaurant, providing support to both our tireless medical workers and the struggling hospitality industry. more

On the evening of Sunday March 29, Prime Minister Scott Morrison addressed the nation to outline further (tougher) restrictions to help curb the spread of coronavirus. The new rules cut any social gatherings to just two people – this applies for indoor and outdoor gatherings, as well as those on private properties. All people over the age of 70, those over 60 with a chronic illness and Indigenous people over 50 are all strongly advised to stay home.
