From the early days when Brew was merely a coffee cart stationed atop some astroturf to the opening of sleek architectural offering Super Whatnot, Burnett Lane has grown from a measly service road to a kitted out laneway of food, drink and cultural wonder. No longer just a space for city folk to smoke – though this is still a regular sight – Burnett Lane now plays host to Brew, Super Whatnot, The Survey Co., The German Sausage Hut, many a back-door entrance to Adelaide Street shops and a myriad of detail that is both organic and placed to help tell the laneway’s tale.
