If the shelves upon shelves of chocolate eggs and bunnies at your local grocery hadn’t hinted – Easter is coming. Every sweet tooth’s favourite holiday is just over a week away, and we’ve found an array of gourmet goodies to get you hopping to the big day. The decadent goodies from these bespoke bakehouses and coveted chocolatiers are perfect for your Easter gift or solo sweet treat. Here are all of the delicious details …

Indulge in egg-cellent doughnuts from nodoLook, the Easter Bunny is great, but if they left boxes of nodo’s gluten-free hot cross buns or hot cross bun-flavoured doughnuts, we’d happily rank it above Santa in the gifting stakes. This Easter folks can sink their teeth into a super-cute egg-shaped lemon and poppyseed doughnut, spiced date gluten free doughnuts with milk couverture chocolate, as well as a spiced carrot cake doughnut with vanilla cream cheese and gold leaf.

Elevate your typical chocolate egg with the decadence of New Farm Confectionery: Always a reliable spot to get a sweet fix, New Farm Confectionery is supplying some super-sweet Easter goodies. This year the team has released an assortment of handcrafted confections, ranging from Belgian chocolate eggs filled with honeycomb or rocky road, dark couverture chocolate coated in freeze-dried raspberry pieces and white couverture chocolate dusted in Oreo chunks. They also have classic hollow eggs, splattered in vibrant colours as well as mini Easter egg gift boxes.

Cop one of Brooki Bakehouse’s viral Easter specials: This pint-sized bakery packs a punch. Located in the Stewart & Hemmant building, Brooki’s pastel-pink boxed cookies have become a sweet treat sensation, famed for their thick size, crisp outside and chewy inside. This season, discover your favourite Easter delicacies reimagined in New York-style cookies, like creme egg, hot cross bun and Caramilk on the menu for a limited time.

Indulge in elegance this Easter with The Everleigh Cocktail Co.’s new nightcap: Pair your Easter egg stash with sips of Everleigh Cocktail Co.’s new cocktail Velvet Noir. This new addition to the brand’s range of sophisticated single-serve cocktail cubes comes with notes of dark chocolate and black cherry with a bittersweet palate showing plum, bitter orange and cola spice. Best served iced in a tall glass with a slice of fresh orange, Velvet Noir is the perfect pairing for your Easter chocolate treat.

Pepe Saya has collaborated with sweet treat slingers Butter Boy and Hunted Gathered for even more decadence: For another year, the buttery wizards at Pepe Saya have teamed up with cult cookie makers Butter Boy to create the ultimate Easter treat – bake-at-home chocolate hot cross bun cookie dough. Part cookie, part hot cross bun, this butter-laced baked delight can now be delivered straight to your door. Along with your dough delivery, stock up on blocks of Brown Butter Chocolate, a collaboration between the butter brand and chocolate house Hunted Gathered.

Go big or go home with Noosa Chocolate Factory’s Mother of All Bunnies: The Southeast Queensland chocolatier prides itself on decadent chocolate creations, made fresh and locally. This Easter, Noosa Chocolate Factory is hopping into the season with a herd of heavenly chocolate bunnies in its high-quality white, milk and dark chocolates. Starting at 45 g, you’ll find a growing collection of chocolate bunnies, led by piece de resistance – the Mother of All Bunnies – a 450 g and 67-cm tall milk chocolate creation. You can also NCF’s not-so-humble chocolate eggs, decorated in spots or splatters, with speciality options like raspberry, caramel and even vegan chocolate available.

Grab a slice of La Macelleria’s seasonal gelato cake: The glorious gelateria is known for slinging sensational scoops of authentic ice-cream across Brisbane. But this Easter, they’ve created a love child between Easter treats and gelato with premium gelato cake, decorated with charming fior di latte Easter bunnies and eggs. With sizes ready to serve up to 12 people, this isn’t your typical plate to share for Easter Sunday with the fam. The cake has been created from La Macelleria’s decadent vanilla gelato and filled with passion fruit sauce.

Hop along to Portside Wharf’s Easter market for egg-cellent treats and real-life bunnies pats: Celebrate the season with family, friends and fur-babies at Portside Wharf’s Easter market on Sunday March 23. Experience a super-cute line-up of farm animals including baby piglets, lambs, ducks, alpacas and goats from the McDonald’s Travelling Pet Farm.
