So, what can beer lovers expect? Beer, and lots of it. The gargantuan taphouse will boast 28 taps showcasing the famed BrewDog headliners including the Punk IPA, which is credited with sparking a beer revolution, alongside a selection of local guest beers from the likes of Range Brewing, Currumbin Valley Brewing, Balter, Aether, Brouhaha and Black Hops, to name a few. Not a fan of frothies? Fret not, there will also be a stellar selection of all-Australian wines with a strong turnout of Australian distilleries on the spirits list as well as an assortment of local soft drinks. Accompanying the drinkables will be a menu of classic beer-drinking food such as burgers, dogs and wings as well as a selection of small and large plates designed exclusively for the Australian audience. Fans of brunch, aka civilised day drinking, get excited because there are also plans for a dedicated brunch menu featuring fan favourites such as chicken and waffles.

Aesthetically, the new digs will echo the industrial vibe of BrewDog’s bars worldwide with a mix of comfortable leather booths, communal high-top tables and an expansive outdoor patio showcasing striking large-scale marine-themed artwork from BrewDog’s resident artist, Fisher. The site will also feature an arcade area, shipping-container-turned-beer-cellar and retail shop so you can take some tins home. There is also a barrel-ageing facility within the brewhouse itself so patrons can expect some seriously tasty wood-aged tipples. The venue marks the first phase in BrewDog’s expansion down under with the taproom set to open next month and the first beers set to leave the production line by January 2020. Thirsty for more?
