Ben O’Donoghue has expanded the Billykart West End offering to include a gourmet smallgoods and boutique alcohol dispensary.

In late 2015, Billykart West End made a splash in the local breakfast scene with its popular menu and news of an deli and grocer opening in early 2016. The team has made good on the promise, with Billykart Provisions opening at the Edmonstone Street location in mid-January. Those who adore the flavours employed on Billykart menus will be excited to know that Billykart Provisions stocks a range of sauces, jams and pickled goods made and served up in Billykart menus, as well as pairing it with other products from boutique providores and small-batch alcohol. Gourmet ingredients such as balsamic vinegar, dukkah, macrobiotic sea salt, sardines, lentils, pasta and stock mixtures are available for anyone looking to add some flair to their home cooking (or heat, should you pick up a jar of Billykart’s fermented chilli death sauce). Those who need a tasty, last minute option for dinner will be able to purchase pre-made meals and sides, while locals can pick up kale salads, loaves of bread and sandwiches, for lunch.

Wines have been sourced from across Australia, drawing boutique labels from notable regions such as McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley and Margaret River, with a small selection of international flavours on hand. Billykart Provisions also stocks local beer from Green Beacon, Burleigh Brewing and Newstead Brewing, as well as Australian spirits such as 666 vodka from Tasmania and small-batch gin from Hippocampus, West Winds and Melbourne Gin Company. A range of cheeses and cured meats are on display, available for purchase to take home and enjoy. Alternatively, patrons can purchase boards piled with sliced cheese and meats to enjoy outside, along with a bottle of wine or a squealer of beer.
