Bulimba’s Biggie’s Burgers will hypnotise your tastebuds

You know that old saying, ‘mo burgers, mo happiness’? It’s a real phrase – trust us. With that in the front of your mind, let us introduce you to Biggie’s Burgers – Bulimba’s brand new delivery only burger joint that is inspired by the Big Poppa himself. With a range of tasty burgers paying tribute to the hip-hop icon, Biggie’s Burgers will drop off some succulently juicy burgers and sides that will sate any B.I.G. hunger.

When hospitality guru Ben Pullen (of Barcadia Kitchen + Bar fame) first came up with the idea of Biggie’s Burgers, it was half in jest. After tossing around ideas for names of burgers inspired by The Notorious B.I.G.’s rhymes, amusement turned into seriousness as he realised that he’d had come across a true light bulb moment. Deliciously succulent burgers themed around iconic 90s hip-hop – it was a no-brainer. The idea rapidly snowballed and it wasn’t long before Ben started looking for a suitable location to set up shop. Before long it became apparent that the idea was too cool to let stew in location limbo, so Ben decided to make space in Barcadia’s own kitchen for mass burger production. The second stroke of genius was starting Biggie’s Burgers as a delivery only operation, allowing Ben to gauge demand and tastes of the people on the fly. And so on Friday January 27 Biggie’s Burgers officially launches, with delivery only available through UberEATS.

Ben is taking a no frills approach to the burgers, choosing to start with classics that haven’t been tampered with for the sake of a new angle. Six burgers and a range of sides are available upon launch, each tailored to different tastes but keeping that on-point hip-hop theme. The Brooklyn Beef N’ Bacon almost needs no explanation, except that its combination of Angus beef, bacon rashers and American cheddar is to die for. If you’ve got a formidable hunger, opt for The Notorious B.I.G. Burger, which doubles the beef, the bacon and the cheese. If you are feeling rebellious the Bad Boy Brisket Burger, which boasts 12-hour slow-cooked beef brisket and house-made pickles, is right up your alley. The Big Poppa Pork Belly features strips of grilled Peruvian pork belly, mojo verde, mustard, jalapenos, cheddar and pickles, while the Deep South Grilled Chicken pairs Cajun chicken with ranch sauce, tomato and lettuce. A vegetarian burger will be available upon launch, while the menu is fleshed out with chilli cheese fries, dry-rub chicken wings, puffy pork rinds, juicy coleslaw and chickpea and avocado salad.

If you have an urge to sink your teeth into Biggie’s Burgers, simply order through UberEATS, put on Life After Death, kick back and let the deliciousness come to you.
